I made this photomanipulation in honor of my dog, Starr. She passed away February 21st in the evening. She looked fine a few days before, giving me those same old puppy-dog eyes that begged for food during dinner. Two days later she wouldn't eat and looked like she was in pain. My mom was going to take her to the vet the next morning, but had to schedule it for Saturday due to a meeting she couldn't get out of. Unfortunately, Starr passed not long before we got home. Starr was my dear friend, and we had her since she was just 6 months old. She was one of the sweetest dogs you'd ever meet as well as the nosiest and practically had no sense of personal space (She would always get right up on peoples feet and in terms of being nosy, 9-times-out-of-10 if a door in our house was cracked you would probably find her nose peeking through). As a puppy, her ears were really big for her head (she grew into them lol), not to mention they were so fluffy that I had taken a shine to fluffy dog ears. Eventually it got to the point where she would literally put her ears down whenever she saw me. I'll also never forget the time my mom jokingly told her, "Ya know, when you pass will have to keep your ears for Alex," and she had the most adorable reaction as though she understood. I have so many great memories of my dear friend, and I know I'll never find another dog that will capture my heart quite like her. I can hardly look at Sheltie pictures online without tearing up, it was torture searching for the right stock photo, especially since I don't have any photos of her that are of good quality, let alone big enough. RIP my friend, may you continue to run in the fence-less field; you're free.

Edit: On a side note of things... It's been a while! dA has changed a bit since I was last here... personally, I don't like the new way of editing/submitting art. I'll get used to it eventually, but right now it is just a pain in the arse, haha! XD

Thanks~ :rose:
