"The air is cold. Where do I belong in this vast vulnerable world. My world is to harsh and I am not willing to return for I cannot even call it home. Yet this place, everyone fears my being once I am found out. I'll follow and trust this owl to guide me, as the snow that falls covers up my tracks and existence. As it covers up my memories." - Namilli Crowle
Quote from my book Amaryllis.
In the chapter that features this quote, it reflects pieces of Namilli's travels upon returning to the human world after her training in Eon. (For more info look at my journal) This quote is Namilli stating that she has to continue traveling the human world in order to stay alive, for she is being hunted. If she lingers in one place to long she risks the chance of her assassin finding her. The snow symbolizes it being winter at the time of her realizing this fact. So she makes a comparison of the falling snow and her running, believing that if she continues to travel constantly, it will help erase her tracks (hard to track her down). When she says existence she simply means that she wasn't there. Meaning that she stayed for such a short time in one place that no one really knew her or even what she looked like after she was gone. It could also symbolize when you lie to someone asking where you have been in order to hide your cover. Now the owl is a symbol of wisdom. (Most of the time owls are symbol of it, yes?) When she states that she will trust and follow the owl, she means that she is depending on wits to guide and protect her. (Once again from those who hunt her) It seems to fit since she outsmarts her enemies a great deal of the time, the little trickster. xD
